but as I say the original account was ballsed up by EA.Ī little confusing I know but that was the crap we had to deal with at the time.Ī little confusing I know but that was the crap we had to deal with at the time. So I have the game here on steam and when you try to unlock Vietnam and the Spectact kit you are asked to enter your EA account details. We had to make new origin accounts and of course those keys now cannot be used. I not only lost this game and my Origin account, but acouple of others too. Many of us at the time were given were given keys (which I guess at the time worked on steam and origin) - but also shortly after EA ballsed up many of our Origin accounts in which our keys were locked to. We aren't talking about the fact that it's now 'come back' from origin. Many of us bought this game though steam when it was officially on steam all those years ago. When you look to the left, press the button to Redeem Product Code. Then click on Edit on EA.com button on the right hand side. Click on my profile at the bottom left of the hand. So now here on steam I can only play the core game without the possibility of the spectact doodah and the Vietnam DLC, Total bankers! When the register is completed, confirm is done and go to the homepage. and this was at the time when I first bought it. It's still the same now - all lost because they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up when they 'upgraded' something and my first account got wasted. At the time I contacted them but there was no response so all my tied games were lost. My spectact whatsit and Vietnam dlc was tied to my first EA account at the the time via a password etc and then they changed something where my EA account never worked again so I had to make a new account and was never able to add the game and dlc as it was tied to the account they had disabled. I get that too and its been the case for all the years even at the time where when I initially bought the game. Very annoying that you have to do all this to play the darn game that you paid for, but that is life playing games that are 11 years old.Originally posted by john fitzgerald kennedy:you must have played bc2 on a different ea account then the one you are trying to use, either that or its just broke cus im currently locked out of playing multiplayer as my ea account i used back then is no longer accessible and the email used isnt either and i too face the same issue of needing a new serial key or something. Don't click "Play Now" instead select "My Stats" and it should take you to the next page. Run the installer and make sure to add BFBC2 as a gameģ) When trying to open multiplayer, you may get a "Failed to connect to EA online" message. You also will have to re-download the game from Origin (annoying). Comprei o Battlefield: Bad Company 2 faz uns 2 dias atravs da Steam, mas pra jogar online precisa de uma 'serial key', s que eu no recebi nenhuma chave depois de comprar o jogo. They may make you link your Steam account to Origin (). Make sure to have two screenshots for proof of purchase ready from Steam (). Select the best support option for you (I recommend Live Chat). Login / make an EA account (if you don't have one). I have documented all the steps it took me to successfully play online after purchasing the game in April 2021.ġ) You need to work with EA support to get the game added to Origin If you, like me, bought BFBC2 from Steam and want to play multiplayer, there are a few hoops to jump through.
